‘Destination UNCP’ Event Connects Students, Families with Campus Resources

The University of North Carolina Pembroke is inviting prospective students, current students and their families to campus for Destination UNCP, a special event designed to connect attendees with campus resources while enjoying a night of Braves baseball.
The event will take place on Friday, April 24, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Sammy Cox Field and is coordinated by the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
As part of the experience, attendees will receive free admission to the UNCP Braves baseball game against the Barton Bulldogs at 6 p.m.
Destination UNCP offers a unique opportunity for students and families to explore the university in an engaging, relaxed setting. Representatives from key campus departments will be on-site to answer questions and provide valuable information about the college experience.
Participating departments include:
- Undergraduate Admissions
- Financial Aid & Scholarships
- Student Orientation
- Center for Student Success
- Academic and Military Outreach
- Office of Global Engagement
- Career Center
Whether students are just beginning their college search or preparing to enroll, the event provides access to important resources, guidance and support in one convenient location.
“Destination UNCP is a great opportunity for students and families to connect directly with the people and resources that will support their success,” said Joshua Oxendine, assistant director for Financial Aid & Scholarships. “We’re excited to welcome the community to campus for an evening that combines helpful information with the fun and energy of a Braves baseball game.”
Admission to both the event and the game is free and open to the public.
